                        Bluemax,

                         Thanks for the reply. I did happen to find exactly what I was looking for. Cottage Industries has 1/96 scale Civil War Naval figures. They are made of white metal. The quality of the figures is ok but it will take a little fine Dremel work on them to get them the way I want them to look.

                        Sky Cop-I just found your posting so I don't know if you've resolved your issue or not. Prieser makes figures in different scales for model RR and HO scale, 1/87,  should work ok. There are a lot a subjects in the scale and you should be able to find some you could modify to look like seaman of that period.

                        I am doing research on a future wooden ship model project of the Civil War USS Susquehanna in 1/96 scale. I have been fooling around with the idea of manning the ship with figures but I can´t seem to find any Union Naval figures in that scale or even 18 or 20 mm. The figures of that scale that I have seen don´t really seem to be of quality but I realize it is hard to get details that small.

                        If anyone has any helpful tips let me know.
