I like Polly Scale also. Model Master acrylics are ok. The RAF/RN camoflage color Slate Grey is also a good option for Field Gray with a slight tonal difference. Some makers darker RLM Gray is good for a faded look.

 

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

Unless you airbrush the figures, Tamiya paint is not really suited to this task. They just don't brush well. Here are some photographic examples of field grey equipment.

hi i have some german machine gun troops what i want to paint but the tamiya feild grey colour seams to green when the pictures of the figures uniform on the box seem reali blue
