I mostly used Tamiya acrylics on this one with some other acrylic paints from tubes (the kind used for painting on canvas and they don't have to be the most expensive) when it came to dry brushing. Busts are a lot easier to paint than 1/35 scale figures, firstly because the size gives you more "elbow" room. Secondly, well you are just concentrating on one figure as opposed to a whole kit of small ones. This particular kit had 4 pieces: cap, head, torso and marble base. This makes it a whole lot easier by taking advantage of painting before assembling. Except for the flesh tones which need to have subtle variation, the rest of the model is approached like painting a tank - base coat, washes, and then dry brush. Try it, you'll like it.
