Ah, yes, I remember that one well; owned one myself many moons ago! I wasn't much into the monster models as a kid, I did mostly a/c, but I DID have the Creature, a couple of the Aurora Godzilla models and, I believe, the Mummy kit (the ones with the glow-in-the-dark parts). Played with them until they broke and my Mom threw them away (gasp!).

Treasures in the attic Part 1

I recently came upon a whole set of old, old Aurora monster models that lived in the attic for many years- forlorn and forgotten. What a blast from the past!

They were only assembled (not painted) by me as a kid, and played with until forgotten.

I'm not really sure how they got put away in the first place, or how they were mainly intact!

But I tore them apart, cleaned 'em up as best as I could, then tried to restore them to a better state. I tried to keep the "glow in the dark" parts free of paint to preserve their "kid appeal", but still try to present a more realistic model.

The first is The Creature from the Black Lagoon!

Stay tuned for more monstrous memories!

Thanks for lookin'

Mark
