S.S. Dot camo tryout
Posted by smeagol the vile on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 10:40 AM

(no pics yet. later today when I get home)

I wanted to try something new, I wanted to try that dot camo I'm seeing all over the place.  I grabbed one of my gundam kits that turned into a pallet to try.  I did one of the wings in a dark green.  Ontop of that I put splotches of brown, tan, and black.  Ontop of that I put dots of all of those colors, then dots of green.  Hopefully it looks good.

(If I did anything wrong in my written attempt, tell me)

Ok, here is the pic of it.  If I did it on a figure it would obviously be smaller.

I highly recommend perusing through Calvin Tan's blogs. If you're into resin figures, like Alpine, you'll recognize his work.

here

Lots of different uniform styles, including camos. He won'y necessarily provide you with a SBS, but just watch what he's doing.

Hope this helps,

Steve
