Old D&D figures
Posted by padakr on Monday, December 1, 2008 10:04 PM

I had some old lead figures from 20 years ago, and when I started back up modeling about 5 years ago, I kept them off to the side to work on when something else was drying.

First thing I did was spray paint them black all over so I wouldn't be handling the bare lead that much.  I prbably had all the brain damage I was going to get from them when I was a kid, but why take a chance.

First up are my basic warriors:

Now the first group of elves (the one on the left has sort of a pig face, maybe it got too close to a heater at some point):

And the second group (I guess I thought all elves had to be blonde):

Last up are the dwarves, my favorites.  I think I did the best job with them, they don't seem as clumsy as the others. First group:

And group 2 (I got really daring and made one with blonde instead of red hair):

Then I sealed them all with some Krylon, to help keep them from chipping.

I haven't done any figures since (real or fantasy), but I may try again in the future.
