Please help...cartoon/caricature figurines
Posted by Sniper Zed on Thursday, December 25, 2008 10:26 PM

Hello, this subject was in my head for quite a while and after not being able to find any information through google i decided to post here. I was wondering if anyone had any information about 1/16"ish" scale figures that resemble caricatures of WWII soldiers. A long time ago I remember reading about them in a book and was wondering what happened to these and whether they were still being sold anywhere. I managed to find a very small low res example, but there wasn't any accompanying info:

A wehrmacht mg 26/30 gunner wearing ss camo smock while smoking

Again any help is appreciated

I think either Hasegawa or Fine Molds made those kits. They also had some Modern era figures. Look around and you can still find them. My first suggestion wold be to try Hobby Link Japan as an online source.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

The figures were by FineMolds in 1/12? scale. Several different troops with accurate weapons but SD figs.

One of my local stores still has several in stock but I don't think the German MG gunner is one of them.

Just thought I'd let you know that I jst saw two of them on eBay tonight. One was the German figure that you mentioned, and the other was a US Ranger.
