1/35 Wermacht Officier
Posted by TacoBuff on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 11:18 PM

I've been working on my figure painting skills for a while now, and this one is the best yet.

From Dragon's German Officier at Kursk Kit is the Wermacht officier painted in Model Master (for the face and skin) and Tamiya Acrylics (uniform, etc.)

Still working on how to photograph such tiny people LOL.  SHot 'em under a variety of lights.

Any comments and constructive criticisms are welcome!

That's awsome.. Way better than my people for sure!

But the highlight on the feldblouse may be a little too light...

But awsome!

yeah, it's a little light but I liked look. Thanks for the feed back guys!
And Huxy, your figures are as good as mine. Your British soldier thread inspired me to pick the brush up, and try my hand at figures!

Oh wow...  I am speechless... Glad my work inspire other people! Big Smile [:D]

And yes, the highlight do look good. Gives some characteristics..   Oh, you still need to paint the collar! Smile [:)]

nono, not the shoulderboards...  There are two stripes on each side moulded on the collar on that figure. That's the Werhmacht  collarmarking...

There you see some SS collar markings.. one pair of SS runes, and then a blank black one on the opposite side.   That's the collar markings ;)

yeah, they're painted, look at the last pic, it's most visible on the left side of the collar.

Thanks for clearing that up though.
