Dissenting opinion is good. I appreciate the input.

Though it looks good, I've seen better from you. I suppose for a 24 hour paint job it looks good but not near the quality I've seen come off your bench in the past. Not quite as crisp and a little heavy handed. Some red from the coat up on the cuffs, red from the coat on his leggings a little rough around the garters and some white from the shirt on the cuffs, alot of brush marks and what looks to be uneven coverage. Sorry to be the lone dissenter here.

Thanks, guys.

I use Vallejo and Andrea almost exclussively. There was a burnt umber oil wash on the musket and the lips and brass are from Citadel.

Thumbs Up [tup] A very successful experiment I would say! What type of paints did you use to get such rapid results?  I can't paint a face that quickly, let alone a whole figure! Details please! And Your time not watching TV is obviously well spent!

This was an experiment to see if I could paint a figure in one day or less. He was cleaned and primed two days ago. At the same time, the base was stained and the ground work was done. Arms were added and painting began at 7:00 pm on New Year's Eve. The last touch up was done at 6:30 PM on New Year's Day. Okay, so I don't watch parades and bowl games on New Year's Day.

The figure is Michael Roberts' 54mm Virginia Regiment 1754, typical of the troops who would have been led the young  Washington. The kit included a length of braided wire to make the cords holding the canteen and bedroll. I drilled a hole through the bed roll and two set holes on the side of the canteen for the "cord."I added the musket strap from some leftover foil from my last project.
