I have a set from them I bought a while ago. I have found their site to be spotty.. and it took me almost a month for them to ship from France to Texas. I am kind of shocked they are the only game in town.

Thanks for the help on the paint colors for flight suits.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

It's not like it'd be hard to convert it using epoxy putty.

Just looked at their site (it was up) ... and those figures are perfect for what I'm going to have going on! Plus, one of their modern weapons kits has a 240B/C ... that's the first one I've seen!! Good thing too, cause I thought I was going to have to scratch one from a 60 for my HMMWV project.

Anyway, the figures look go to me. Just might have to get a set. However, I think I'm going to kit bash my "GIB".

What is the best color for modern flight suits? Last time I was doing any kind of figure painting flight suits were almost always green.

Sage green is the color for the Nomex, according to the Army and the ones I have hangin' in my closet... I take a little MM Green Drab and give it a touch of white.  Tan flightsuits I paint with plain ol' Testors Flat Tan with a drop of white... Looks close enough to me...  Seems AF and Navy flightsuits have a little different color to them, but I don't think it's enough to matter in 1/48th or 1/35th scale... You won't see it unless you have an Army flightsuit laying next one of the others though.. It's all going to depend on what era you're modeling in as well...

As for boots, the combat rule from aircrew I know is, "dress to egress", meaning you wear the boots that you are going to E & E in after you're shot down...

I think that you're best bet for the crew is going to be straight out of the box. I don't know of a good AM set. On the seated Soldiers ... I think, again, you're going to have to figure bash those. And lastly, as far as the flight suit colors .... everything that I saw during my deployments were either OD green or desert tan, w/ a lot of the guys wearing the tan.

Hope that helps.

(I'll be crossing over to the heli forum for a future build coming up. I'm going to be needing a Blackhawk crew, and Little Bird crew, and Soldiers to go with them.)

There has been a long running thread in the Helicopters forum about this. However, I have found from my personal experiences some people do not cross into the forums of stuff they do not build all that often so I thought I would ask the figure experts.

Does anyone make a decent 1/48th modern US Helicopter crew?

Also, for those of us who like 1/48th helicopters.. Does anyone make modern infantry seated as though they are riding in a helicopter- yet again.. in 1/48th scale?

Also, to combine questions into one thread.. What is the best color for modern flight suits? Last time I was doing any kind of figure painting flight suits were almost always green. I have been toying with a few different shades of tan enamels and wondering what works best. Also, I was wondering about the new boots. I know pilots were always supposed to wear all leather boots in the black boot days. I have yet to see the new style boots without the nylon.. Has nylon been approved or is there a tan flight boot?
