My friend owns this scaled-down Harley that really works! It's got more that 4,000 hours into it and, with more that 700 individually hand-crafted pieces, can be disassebled and reassembled. However, no one I know would attempt it without a team of Swiss Watchmakers in attendance.
It's got an electric motor concealed in the block that spins the primary. The primary, when the shifter pedal is engaged, then spins the rear tire. The lights work, the front brake works when engaged on the handle-bar; the Springer front end is even functional. There's a five-gear cluster in the block that turns a cam, which in turn spins two tinklers hidden in the jugs that simulate the sound of an idling Harley.
Heck, I think it belongs in the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee. What do you folks think?
There's a video of it at YouTube, for anyone interested in seeing it work.
