Review of my current project
Posted by ajlafleche on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 7:52 AM
I just posted a review of my recent purchase/current project, Frank Miniatures' 75mm Stampede 1867, at Historicus Forma. Click here to read it. (You will need to click on the picture which was supplied by the manufacturer.)

Just to be clear, the painted display model is not my work.

Those were some nasty seams on those animals... I always hated seams on animals and dinosaurs and such thats bare skin with texture, its so hard to fix the seam and get the texture to match the rest of the kit.

Yeah, those were pretty ugly! They sanded out nicely though. The cowboy is just about done...maybe a bit more highlights on his shirt then a glze of the base color to smooth out the edges a bit more. The animals have their base colors in place, and I kept finding more seams to clean up as I painted. One hing I learned in researching this is the amazing variety of colors Longhorn cattle come in.
