1/72WWII Germans vs. Real Soldiers (from Reference Images) PART 3
Though even this month is having as topic 1/72 kits aiming WWII German cannons and crews, I have the great pleasure to show you several 1/72 figures that I converted in order to appear close to some real soldiers appearing in reference photos.
This is Part 3 of a topic that I launched months ago, entitled "1/72WWII Germans vs. Real Soldiers (from Reference Images)".
While in the first two Parts I used Preiser figures, this time I appeal to Pegasus Hobbies soldiers extracted from various soft plastic sets of this manufacturer.
Pegasus Hobbies is acknowledged both for the great sculpture and for inspiring their poses from reference images and this last aspect I tried to emphasise through the first converted poses featured below. There will also be a couple totally transformed, diverging from the initial pose. Above each photo presenting the pose there will be provided little information regarding the conversions I did for attaining it.
For those that miss the first two parts or want to see them again here there are the links:

I really hope you will enjoy the topic and any suggestions or opinions are highly welcome while I intend to develop the topic in the future, too.

P.S. With some delay, happy birthday to Europe and to Dave Gahan, the singer from Depeche Mode (my favorite bands), both events being on 09 May.
Pose very close to the standard one featured inside Waffen SS Set 2. I put other arms extracted from the same set as well as Preiser binoculars, Zeltbahn and gas cap pouch.
Another pose very close to the standard one also featured inside Waffen SS Set 2. I replaced the gear with Preiser one, namely entrenching tool, canteen, bayonet, mess tin and bread bag. I also scratch-built a strap for the mess tin and modified the original strap, making it longer.
In this photo only the two visible troopers in the original photo were converted using figures from IG 18 set, but putting them other heads, arms or palms taken from other soldiers from the same set. The other three figures from which are visible only some palms and two heads are standard poses encountered in the same kit. The gun is also Pegasus Hobbies' le.IG 18.
Body from the same IG 18 set which is also met made in hard plastic within Mortar Teams. The arm with weapon I took it from Germans in Berlin and I had to change a little the position of the left arm. The strap of the weapon is scratch-built.
Another body from IG18 set to which I use other arms and palms taken from other colleagues of him from the same set. The map case is Preiser and the pistol holster is Dragon.
