US Tanker 10th Armored Division, Europe 1945 * Finished* - Alpine 1/35

Got inspired watching some figure work so I thought I'd have a go at one myself, just to do something different from AFVs Wink [;)]. The figure is an Alpine piece, painted with Vallejo and Andrea acryllics.

This is still a work in progress, so it's gonna be matted down and mounted on a small vignette.

Please feel free to comment and let me know what I did right, wrong and areas for improvement.

REAL NICE JOB especially the 5 o'clock shadow on the tanker's face!  Thumbs Up [tup]  Only feedback I have... not sure if the jacket is supposed to be that shiny unless it was made of leather?

You did a first rate job, the only details that look "wrong" to me are the corporal stripe decals that have been applied over raised corporal stripes molded on the jacket sleeves. You might want to revisit those little items by either removing the decals and paint the insignias on the raised stripes or to sand off the 3D stripes on the jacket and apply new decals on the sleeves. Other than that, it looks perfect.

Yeah, I totally overlooked that...I think that insignia denotes "Technical Sgt"?

Thank you very much for the comments guys, I really appreciate it! Smile [:)]

I've tried to tone down the contrasts on the uniform and I also gave the figure a coat of flat varnish. I removed the corporal decals and painted them instead due to the fact that the molded on stripes was too big for the decals, as some of you pointed out. Smile [:)]
I also added pigments to the coveralls and jacket to simulate dirt.

Comments and critique are welcomed as always.

Incredible job, Per-Erik. Nice work on the rank painting. Kinda miss the decal, as it just looked soooo good. However, what had to be done is done, and your figure looks outstsanding. Looking forward to your next piece.
