nice fig, is it a GD soldat? alos i think you may have the cuff title on the wrong sleeve, they were worn on the left sleev.
The cuff-title was hand-painted on with Humbrol black and white...The figure, as I painted it, is supposed to be a Grossdeutchland Officer. As far as the sleeve side goes, the SS wore the cuff-titles on the left sleeve and the Heer (Army) on the right-sleeve...so my figure is correct.

Hi Manny,

We must be reading each other's mail.  I have been trying to purchase this figure online for two weeks but everyone is out of stock!  I have been looking for a figure for my next build which will be Trumpeter's German 38(H) Artillery Observation Vehicle which Andy just built about a month ago.

I initially picked up Alpine Miniatures Waffen SS Panzer Officer

I really thought he would work in the vehicle with the M-42 Field Cap head but then I saw this guy and he seemed perfect. I am not ready to do a camouflage pattern on figures; I would like to practice on single color uniforms awhile first before I take on that challenge. I have a couple questions if you don't mind and they are as follows:

  1. Did you use Vallejo Model Color acrylics of oils or possibly a combination?
  2. What base colors and highlight and shadow colors did you use for the tunic and the pants?
  3. Do you want to marry my Stug Dio?

WOW!  OUTSTANDING JOB! Thumbs Up [tup] I like the look of battle hardened helmet.  Was the 'band' around the right arm painted or did you use a decal?  How did you do it?  I am new and I am learning as much as I can after staying away from the models for 20+ years.  What is the proper word for the 'band' around the German's arms?

Andy
