Started on this guy tonight , ive painted the face using acryliks and building up with light well diluted coats to achieve a suttle tonal variation

Finnished him off tonight and im happy with the way hes turned out. Ive taken a lot more time on this paintwork and it pays off as usually i tend to hurry 35 figures but i had a tutorial off a friend and he never fails to get good results. So its practice and patients all the time from now on.

Outstanding job especially the face and the camo! Thumbs Up [tup] I am wondering what knid of clip you are using to hold the figure.  I am not sure if I have seen the kind of clip you are using before so I am interested because I haven't found a good clip to hold my figures within reasonable pricing.  I was thinking about buying one with a wood handle that holds any shapes but it costs about $25.

Thanks guys, Andy the clip came with the turn tabble in the back ground which has various clips for holding small item s such as figures right up to large clips to hold the hull of a tank and the like . it comes with two turn tables and the clips can slot in so you dont have to hold the piece or the clip . Cant remember who makes it as i threw the box away but i bought it at a model show recently and it cost £15.99.

Andy, it is a Spray-Work Painting Stand Set made by Tamiya I have the same one and use it every day.

So when are you going to post a figure tutorial, perhaps tomorrow?

Hey Andy,

Your mind is a bad neighborhood do not go in their alone it will lie to you.  Your figures are more than awesome just like your AFV's and I would really like to learn from you if possible.  Your style of work is impressive and shows through everything you do.

If I waited until I was "ready" to do things my life would be full of a lot less! There are a lot of guys afraid of figures and you have an opportunity to be uniquely helpful. Just my opinion. Guys have been PMing me for advice or help on their stuff and I have only been doing this since December.  I "felt" weird about it but I just simply freely gave back what was given to me and the "wierdness" of it went away.

Just my My 2 cents [2c] Mate.  Keep posting and I will keep reading.  I started the liitle 38H last night.  Very cool kit!  Thanks for inspiring me to do it!

The figure itself is outstanding...however, as I stated on another of your figures recently, the rank insignia is either absent and/or incorrect...in this case there are no collar tabs as there should be for an SS trooper wearing the panzer jacket...also, while there is a "pip" on the shoulder boards, the inside of the boards do not indicate an NCO or Commisioned Officer ranking...other than the pip, he seems to be a private...let me know if you don't understand what I mean and I'll post some examples...I hope you take my observations in the spirit that they are intended---to make you even better than you are...!!!

Manny im not that up on ranks and collers etc, i painted him basiclly as he was shown on the box cover except he should have a camo jacket on but there were no collar insignia shown or is there any moulds of any but apart from that he is as shown.
