Some say it is best to apply a gloss coat first (because it is durable) and then to matt it. All depends on how much you are going to handle Your figure after it is finished. The quickest way to matte something is to give it a thin spray-coat of hairspray. Testors matt isn't bad either. Good luck with Your work

I've used Testors dullcoat to finish my GW figs.Had no problems with it.

Ok, so I'm about to finish my first metal figure.  Before this I've only done one Warhammer 40k figure so I don't really know how to finish.  If this were a Gundam model I would hit it with Future, but I dont want him shiny.  I painted him with Citadel acryls.  What do I need to do to top coat him?
