1/6 figures source?

I have quite a few of the 1/6 scale figures, mostly Dragons and a few BBI. I have been out of touch in this particular area once I ran out of space for these guys. I have several BBI American GI's and German and Japanese figures that are superior in detail to the Dragon ones. As an example of the fine BBI details, even the brass buckles on the Garand sling are replicated. The BBI Japanese fighter pilot figure that I have is simply stunning with realistic details. BBI also released two DAK figures, a dispatch rider and a Gebirgsjager armed with the correct G33/40, which differs from a K98. Some if not all the figures I have must be retired since I've had them as they came out including the first Dragon figure 'Hans'. You can go on Ebay and check for these figures, some of the more common ones can be purchased for less than the original price.  Hope this helps.

no, your absolutely right. i did miss read it. my old eyes thought it said 1/16 not 1/6. that was my fault. your comment didnt come across as snoody either...i just figured if i said anything...my comment would come across that way. anyway, upon further review you are correct sir and i did miss the boat on this one!!

That'll get you started.  If you google, "1/6 scale figures", too, you'll get a list of sources.  Many dealers who sell miniatures or toy soldiers also carry the large-scale figures, and if there are any toy soldier or military/historical miniatures shows in your area, it's worth it to visit them.  Besides seeing some great modeling work, there is bound to be a dealer who has some figures on his table.

Marc, I never saw a model that big but I know Dragon carries a line of "action figures" I have a couple of cheaper ones of a Navy Seal and generic WW-2 US Airborne trooper and a Richard Marcinko (one of my heros). The Dragons are kinda pricey starting around $50 Great Models has a good selection I was just looking at last night.Hope this helps.

mpkev31b...there isnt a response i can give that wouldnt sound sarcastic so i'll say it this way...thank you for clarifying it for me although i did get what he was refering to figure wise...just wasnt sure if he meant he wanted a company or what.

wing, i've been to the michigan toy soldier company (wife works a mile away)...they have a nice selection. there are many other companies as well you can go with. good luck with your decision. hope to see some posted pics wen completed!
