This is my first posting on the site.

The figure is an orginal work I did using various types of scrap plastics: such as old sprue trees, fastfood plastic forks, the handel from a desposale razor blade, computers, ect.. basiclly if it can melt I used it. I would be most interested in what you all would have to say, and thanks for taking the time to look.

HOLY CRAP THAT's GOOD!!! Seriously. Nice job. So this whole thing was made from melting various plastics? I'd be very interested to know how you do this. If you've got other pictures of your in progress work, I'm sure that everyone here would love to see them as well.

Again nice work!

That is just plain ol' fantastic! I just can't praise you enough. Thanks for sharing. If possible, could you provide larger images?

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

TacoBuff: thanks for your kind words. If I where going to start over sculpting I'd check out some of the dedicated figure sites, PlanetFigure, Timelines, and Historicus Forma are the ones I belong to. They have lots of how to, and the guys are always willing to help out a new person. There may be more out there. Using plastis is the exception most people use some type of puddy on a wire appendage.

The way I got started was like most guys I'd do figures for armour pieces, the way it goes first you do stock, then swap arms legs, maybe reshape, next I'd take the stock figures and comepletly redo the whole thing, overtime forgot the tanks worked soley on figures, then finally stopped using stock and made my own, using the leftover sprue trees. It goes without saying good luck with your sculpting endevors.

Thanks Captfue, I'll be sure to check out those sites. Yes, I too was once an armor guy, but have since switched to figures, as I find them more enjoyable to work with, and assembly is limited.
