Marpat: Date of first use?
Posted by Grimmo on Thursday, July 9, 2009 8:26 AM

G'day all! Was wondering when MARPAT (marine Patern Digicam) first was used in the field? I am working on some Marines in OIF, and was going to do them in DCU, but all the pics show Marpat. When were the DCU's phased out?

Cheers

We started having to buy MARPAT in late 2002.  By the middle of 03 all of the "old" style uniforms were no longer allowed to be worn.

Make sure you use right MARPAT... The desert MARPAT is diffent from the other one..   Frankly, I thought it made the Juggies look like Waffen -SS, lol...
