Tamiya spraycan black or white/grey primers provide a fantastic base for Vallejo acrylics.

I just use regular Tamiya acrylics as a primer for Vallejo. I haven't had any problems with it lifting the primer coat.

Hey Citadelgrad87, I use Mr.Surfacer as a primer for Vallejo paints. As for primer I would guess that anything that isn't an acrylic would work just the same. Once the Vallejo paints are dry you should seal them before handling. I prefer a laquer dull coat, but arcylic sealers work just as well. I use acrylics for almost all of my painting and Vallejo is my choice for paint, just to let you know, I've had similar problems and have found that a good primer and sealing them are critical factors for a durable finish.

Model Master's primer grey acrylic works well for me.

I like Floquil surface primers. I usually shoot Grimy Black primer, as it assists with my shading at times. Can't say I always remember to wash my figures after assembly, but I've never had a problem with the primer lifting.

I have a wip going here on my first figures, I primed them with Tamiya rattle can light gray surface primer, but I forgot to wash them before I did so.

THe paint can be wiped off after several days.  I will wash the next batch before priming, but I am also going to switch to something differnt for a primer.  They will be a mix of injection molded and resin, if that makes a difference, the current no stick guys are plastic.

thanks
