Guys ~ Windser & Newton sells both gold ochre & yellow ochre but try the pepsi challenge and see if can tell them apart. Some color chips at this site if you wanna --here.

Ok, thanks again camo! I thought that yellow ochre would be pretty much the some as gold ochre but I just wanted to check!

Thanks, Jim

use yellow ochre mm. in case ya havent seen it i posted a thread on here on painting modern figures...there's a flesh part in there. good luck and forget the "gold ochre" as it's probably the person's way of saying yellow ochre. its all the same buddy!!

Hi every body! I just had a quick question for you (I think that this is the right place to post, because it relates to figure painting). I have been trying face painting with acrlicys and that has not been going so well, so I was looking around and saw a method that I would like to try using oils. But the problem is that it uses a color called Gold Ochre, and nither my near by craft shop nor my LHS carry that color, so I was wondering if any of you could point out a color (winton brand) that is quite similer to Gold Ochre. Any help would be a life saver!!

    Thanks a bunch, Jim
