"Das Reich" was the 2nd SS division, so probably SS.

Well you could replace their helmets with ones that have camo covers, but they are molded in the early war style uniform. Most photos of Kursk SS Panzer grenadiers show them in the camo smocks that were worn over that style of uniform (which must have been insanely hot in the summer heat of Kursk). Your best bet would be to buy figures that are molded in the camo smocks. Dragon, Tri Star, Tamiya, and others make them in injection plastic in 1/35.

Which Tamiya Panzer Grenadiers are you talking about? (kit #) It might help to know which kit you are using, as they make several sets.

Can you paint the tamiya panzer grenadiers with a camoflauge uniform or are they supposed to be painted grey. I was trying to depict Das reich grenadiers for a kursk dio and was thinking of just painting there upper bodies such as the shirt in a camoflauge uniform. Or is the tamiya kit  just made for grey?

or could you also paint the pants a camo and the shirt a grey? or should I invest in some dragon figures instead. Any help is welcome.
