I tracked down the Prieser site (instead of the few Prieser product pics I had seen on the net yesterday) and found quite a selection. Our own local hobby shops only carry a very poor selection of HO people, terribly painted.

I see Prieser also has a set of mechanics that may fill my need.

thanks Stikpusher!

Have you tried the Preiser line up of figures. Their stuff is usually pretty decent.

1/48 scale Victorian or Prewar figures

Hi, its been a while.

I looked all over the net today for 1/48 non-militry, non-WWII pilot figures that I can convert for a special little project.

Now, I would love figures of the Victorian/ Pre WWI era but would take anything up to pre-WWII. The thing is, I am finding all sorts of soft/ poorly cast railroad "townspeople" figures meant to populate O guage settings. For me these would serve aslmost as acadamy blanks.

I would like figures in either metal or plastic or resin.  Any ideas? If nothign else I will wind up getting some 1/48 heads and converting acadamy figures for this idea.

thanks!
