Thanks Scott, had never heard of them. They've got some reasonable prices but it looks like you really have to know what you're searching for. Anyway to search by brand?

Chris - Just thought I'd stick my head in here in this one. I don't know what they have there, but you can also find TANK figures at Firestorm Models (firestormmodels.com).

HTHs a little.

I've got a BTR-80 by Zvezda, it's not in the best shape, poor plastic quality, one of their older releases most likely (I think they're newer stuff is alright) I also have 2 of ICM's conflict in Kosovo Spetsnaz figures (but between the two of them... it's like I have 1 and a half kits- not enough plastic in the mold or something, pitting, lack of detail, workable though.)

I was thinking about doing some kind of KFOR dio with a large 3+ story bombed out structure as the backdrop to the BTR and some soldiers (maybe a Serbian sniper in the structure?). I just needed another figure that’s not in some kind of action pose as all the Spetsnaz figures are a little over the top. I’ll probably end up doing a lot of kit bashing. You’ll be the first to know when I start up on it, I’ve been working on the BTR for a while, lots of putty and sanding though. Can't wait to see your contest entry!!

Always wanted to get into some Cold War Russian stuff, just not as much mainstream kits/figures unfortunately- I have the T55 and T72 from Tamiya but they're both destined for KOed Iraqi vehicles.

Thanks again for the heads up on the sale. I'll go to Colorado Miniatures to pick up my weapons as they have them all

Here's what I picked up- almost cost less after shipping than Colorado has it listed for without.

~Steve

Hey man I haven't tried Colorado Miniatures yet, but you've got me taking a look at them. Man ~What a catalog ! Alot of excellent stuff--and it get's to you wicked fast if its in stock, eh? I like that.

~About Mickster ~ yeah, it's a drag he's closing ~ he's been among the best of them ~In the meantime, I'm stocking up on items he does have that I may want, even if he's not profiting much I'm throwing as much cash his way as I can ~

Colorado is great to deal with, no BS. If he's got it, he'll get it to you within a couple of business days. I was shocked at the speed of one of my deliveries Shock [:O]

I did see that Mickster was having a going-out-of-business sale, and I forgot to mention him...  sad to see him go. Really great pricing but, as you've seen, not everything is still available.

Enjoy those TANK dudes, gear.

~ In case you hadn't heard... Mickster (www.modelsbymickster.com) is shutting it's web store down. In the proccess, they're selling out everything they have, CHEAP. There's ALOT left, just don't order anything with a '0' next to it, it won't be re-ordered. Currently they have TANK figures for about $10.59 ea. !! I doubt anyone's seen a better price on 'em. BTW, theres a fair amout of Alpine, S&T, and MIG top-shelf resin Figures for similar prices.       Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Where to get TANK figures
Posted by psstoff995 on Saturday, September 26, 2009 5:52 PM

Not sure if this has been asked or not- problem is I search for them and get lots of hits on generic tank figures as opposed to the TANK brand (Russian figure co.)

I've found their website but they don't have any kind of order form (that I can find) or a list of websites that sell their lines. I've heard of people picking up a few figures here or there at shows...

What I'm looking for would be from both their "Catalog T" figures, some modern Russian soldiers and some of their "Catalog A" items (M14s, FALs, M16/M4 family, Spetsnaz weapons family etc.)

Thanks for the help Smile [:)]
