The Monogram Pro Modeler B-17G and B-24D has a partial aircrew in them, if you can find them... It's not a complete crew though.. I think the only figures are pilot/copilot, waist gunners, and Bombardier & Navigator.. If ya want them, I have some extras... Plus a B-26 top turret gunner that would work in the Fort with a little modding... They're pretty good though... They have the helmet/O-masks/Goggles on and such.. Lemme know and I'll dig around, TAP..

If he doesn't want them, I'll take them.

I've been looking for figures for over 10 years, started to mod the regular dio figs that come with it.

oh by the way were there any missions by the memphis belle with an escort of fighter planes? It could be an interesting topic on a diorama

Pretty much all of them were escorted...   Typically, the fighters would escort the bombers to the limit of ther range, then leave them, then pick them up again on the return leg... It was only later on that the Mustangs were able to escort them to the deep targets and back.

The Luftwaffe tactics of the day were to intercept the bombers as early as possible with a token attack to get the escorts (P-38s and P-47s usually) to drop their tanks in order to reduce the already limited range of the escorts.
