FS standard numbers for digital camouflage
Posted by Gear Head 6 on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 1:02 PM
..........I'm currently working on a 1/35 Stryker diorama and I'm trying to get the FS standard colors for what has been discribed as universal pattern digital camouflage (a green and light gray digital pattern over sand). There are a lot of examples on the Internet, Wikipedia, other reference sites, retailers who sell camouflage clothing, but haven't FS numbers to get a close match on the paint. Maybe I'm checking the wrong sites.

yeah, i cant speak for gearhead axel, while i've seen this, i dont like the fact that they paint it grey. similiar to when everyone was painting the 3 tone desert grey instead of green. i mean dont get me wrong, im not saying it's wrong, in fact that job that painter did on the alpine figs is fantastic...i just dont like the colors he used. just me though. it should be a type of grey/green, light grey and sand. again, maybe im just being nitpicky. to each their own. no no no, sorry axel, not trying to make you second guess yourself. please dont do that. i agree with you as i think his technique is great, i just dont like his color choice. the figures themselves and the colors he used is fantastic...just dont think it's the right colors. again though, everyone has their own way and i give him all the credit in the world for even being able to do it. Thumbs Up [tup]
