Sign - Ditto [#ditto]Yeah, good answer Stickpusher

I would just add that if you want to detail the boots out, some shiny highlights on the top tops of any clean folds are in order, like in this photo, and dirt kills all that if you want a dirtied-up look.

"Well...you gunna pull them pistols, or just whistle Dixie?"

To replicate used black boots, paint the boot flat black, then drybrush with either a dark gray or a light tan to replicate scuffs/wear. For extremely worn boots use a dark gray for the base color and light tan for scuffs.

I'm painting the figures to the Tamiya Famo and Trailer.....12 figures in all.

9 of them are field grey Whermacht (sp?) and 3 of them are panzer crew black unis.

Are the boots all black as the instructions call for? For both these uniforms?

I read that boots were issued in raw leather and a black shoe creme/polishwas then used to make them black.

also in scale.... black looks very severe and "Too" black. So what would you use for realism ...maybe Tamiya German gray? (which looks like a toned down black)

Thanks for response
