I try using the decal for one of my verlinden Modern US figure.

The trick is to cut the decal in to small pieces before applying. Also use alot of decal softer.

Once dry spray on a thin coat of arcylic clear. Once this is dry you will need to weather and to finish it off you will need to spray on a nice coat of flat clear.

The original colors is a little bright. The Shinsungumi decal colo are much closer to the real color.

I time myself the other night. It took me 1 night to build paint and decal a 1/35 Dragon Modern US Marine. If I were to paint the figure with the same degree of details. It would take me 2-3 days.

Thank you Shinsungumi and Trumpterer.

Ok, here's my proverbial two cents and some images.

I picked up the armored infantry set from Spruebrothers, along with both sets of PMC figures and the M117, all from Trumpeter.

The infantry figures are ok, I guess. The sculpting seems a little exaggerated. The MOLLE vest on the armor crewman looks like he's wearing blocks of reactive armor.

My biggest complaint has to do with the instructions...they're absolutely terrible. Sorry, I don't intrinsically know exactly where the MOLLE gear attaches to the vest, and these instructions don't shed any light on that subject. The artwork includes the camo pattern, which makes it that much more difficult to figure out what goes where. Some back views would be helpful, too.

The weapons look nice. It appears that Trumpeter will be issuing small sets of current rifles in the first part of next year.

Although I was impressed that they were even included, I wasnt too impressed with the camo decals. They went on just fine and snuggled down with a little decal set. The color seems way off, though. And if you think I'm gonna cut out little tiny sections of camo to wrap around the various ammo pouches, you are out of your everlovin' mind. I suppose you could apply the decals and then repaint them with better colors, but that would take a special degree of masochism that I just don't possess.

Anyhoo, here's a bunch of pictures of the armored infantry figures.

I think the only place Trumpeter figures are really lacking is in the heads/faces. More akin to older Tamiya or Dragon than anything else. But otherwise not bad. And considering the picking for these types of figures are slim indeed, some headsets from Hornet or elswhere will really make them shine.

The sets look pretty good.  Half of the Armor Crewmen and Infantry comes in the M1127 Stryker RV kit by Trumpeter (listed as not used).  They are both shown with pics and scans of the parts and the camo pattern decals at Trumpeter's Webpage.  The Armor crew and Infantry decals are for DCUs and Woodland BDUs though, not digital ACUs.  The Mortar Crew does come w/MARPAT decals though.

Redleg12 used the camo decals on some figures a while ago and they came out pretty nicely.

They look good to me.  I'll be getting both.

the mortar crew looks good but the infantry...once again they're just standing around. would be nice if someone would actually make them doing something like combat!!! again though, good find stik and good to see some modern stuff being made!

The clear goggles, certainly a plus Thumbs Up [tup].... but the camo pattern decals Confused [%-)] I know those new digital camo patters are not the easiest ones to paint, but decalling a whole figure? Has anybody here tried that?

I had read about the upcoming mortar crew (long overlooked and needed) but the AFV crew/Infantry set is a nice addition as well. I hope to find them soon at a LHS.

Anybody else think they might pick up a set?
