Nicely done. The reference painting is a wonderful example of a painting guide for highlights and shadows. A great example of black does not always have to be black.

this brand. they work great, airbrush or paint brush. and dry super flat. best part 50 cents each

i think i have paint like that! wow. i never knew it could be used for figures. good job! you got great results! how long were you modeling for?

That's a good idea, using stuff from the Dollar Staore... I buy very little acryllic from the LHS,  I've always used acrylics like that from craft stores... Same stuff as the "Model" paints, but cheaper by far... If you can get past the "chick-names" of the colors, you'll save a BUNDLE on paint.. Mine cost right around .99 cents to $1.19, depending on the brand vs. Tamiya and Model Master at 3.49-3.79 AND there's twice the paint...
