1980's 1/9th scale military figures

My dad has one, we often refer to him as "The Great Jerrie"

The make is Esci. I don't know of the availability, but can also inform taht they made several 1/9 scale models. One also including a motorbike!

Yep.  Esci.  I have the kit.  To my knowledge they only made the grenadier -- no American figure.

Do you happen to have any pictures of the grenadier? or is that the model you are looking for?  Last time I heard, Italeri acquired the rights to a lot of the Esci line and that they are redistributing them with new packaging.

I had this model over 20 years ago ond just couldn't repair it anymore after so many moves. All thats left are bits and pieces that I've been saving for if I ever find this model or size again.
