Actually I just posted on the thread of the guy looking for seated pilots this set from Preiser.

http://www.reynaulds.com/products/Preiser/67003.aspx

Only two female sorts but Preiser makes great figures.

One in a skirt toward the middle of photo standing next to the MP (you can just make out his police baton) and the other in a flightsuit with a leather jacket second to the right next to the guy with the toolbox.

I keep forgetting that the O Scale is the same scale as 1/48, great idea!  I'll have to go see what the LHS as in stock.

If I do, you'll be the first to hear about it..  In the meantime, you may also consider using the heads from female O Scale Model Railroad figures if you want to avoid doing putty work..

I got some left over Verlinden bomber crew, but they all have flight helmets on, which I guess could work if modified, but if WASP figures are for sale, I'd prefer that as a basis to start with.

Hans, If you can somehow remember that site that would be great!

I poked my head in here because I thought this thread might be about the 80's goth-metal band...

Oh man, I just ran across site that had some and heck if I can remember where it was now... Don't remember if they were 1/48th or 1/32 though...

Of course, sex changes are fairly easy with 1/48th scale if you need to.. I've done several with Monogram's ground crew figures to make a couple "Rosies".. WASPs would be easier since the flight gear tends to "tone down" the obvious female features.. Mostly putty work for the hair...

Does anybody know of a place that sells 1/48 female figures, specify those dressed as WASP pilots.  I am wanting to do a diorama of the below picture.  Any female figures will do, as I am willing to convert them for the dirorama.

If they don't exist well I can use the B-17 else where.
