The M1942 Uniforms issued to WW2 US paratroops was a khaki olive in color. Like any issue item, there was variation in the color of the cloth used. Not to mention fading with usage. A reasonable color from the Humbrol line is their older Mid Stone color #84 (not their newer release #225- this is too bright and yellow) It is a reasonable color for a used uniform. Knee reinforcements, cargo pocket edging and tie down straps are Olive Green in color, Light Olive 86 being good for the cloth parts and Army Green 102 for the webbing tie down straps.

Correct paint color for WWII 82nd Airborne

Hi all, had a question regarding the appropriate paint color for a Dragon 1/16 scale 82nd Airborne soldier.  I have seen several variations, and different hues.  I also watched "Band of Brothers" and noticed that they were much more olive drab then what is depicted on the box art.  I paint with Humbrel paints, so if anyone knows the best color, or closest match (paint chart?) that would be great.  Thanks for your help!
