All 3 are commonly used & each has advantages & disadvantages,  The "best" is what works best for you.  If your'e just beginning, I'd suggest starting with a high quality acrylic such as Vallejo or Andrea.

What kind of paint (oil, acrylic, enamel, etc..) is best for painting scale model figures? I haven't quite grasped which one should I use. It would be helpful to know what most you guys use regularly. Some tips would be great too.

Thanks!
