mmmm, I have some nice memories of female Japanese skin tones when I was in Yokosuka with the Navy, but I'll keep those to myself Zip it!

Hey Steve,

For Caucasian I use a 50\50 mix of Dark Sand and Cork Brown.  For shadows I add a calvary brown to the base and for most highlight's I add normal flesh color to the base. I have not painted a Japanese head yet but I bet if you added a little more Cork Brown than Dark sand you would be in the ballpark.

I hope this helps.

Vallejo color for Japanese skn tone base

Anybody have a good suggestion for a Vallejo color they use for Japanese male skin tone base? I use Beige Red for Caucasian flesh tone base, but think this might be too pink to begin.

I know I've seen a guide for Vallejo skin tones, for various ethnicities, in the past (not from the Vallejo website), but have not yet located it. Been googlin'...

Thanks,

Steve
