Looks fantastic!

(And it seems I had you confused with the other Scott (W.) who also does miniatures and worked at FFG. He found it very amusing that I had told you we had met before.)

Wow!

Great work on the figure and the base.

Beautiful work on the base.  Really makes the figure stand out.

Nothing- I got laid off last January. ;)

I was the miniatures and such guy, until Mutant Chronicles died and the Rackham deal ended. I might go back to work at the Event Center part-time until I finish school, though.

Congratulations on the win!

Bexley, what do you do for FFG?

Well it was a great show but a terrible ride home. I got a gold award for the fig but broke the back of the base on the ride home. It can be fixed though, just a pain in the butt.

I think I know you. If I'm right, we missed being coworkers by a few months.

Regardless, excellent work. I wish Inquisitor had taken off, just so that there would have been more 54mm 40K models. Good luck at the show!

This is Preacher Joseph from Game Workshop's Inquisitor line. He is 54mm and painted in acrylics. He is a metal figure and clean the mold lines on the robe was a pain. Also the upper arm/shoulders were a separate pieces as the hammer. Of course non of these lined up once glued. So about 0.0625 of an inch was removed from the middle of the hammer handle so the hand would line up with the forearm.

I used vallejo acrylics and washes for this guy.  Most washes consisted of acrylic color, water, Future Floor stuff and pastel powders. Since I don't do any conversions I really attempted to up the details in the painting of this guy. You will find tattoos on his neck and forearm, yellow checker pattern on his right shoulder, dash edge pattern on the edge of cloak and robe, two large faded gray panels on each side of the robe with a even more faded pattern on that and finally faux writing on the parchment attached to the robe.

He has a large box with skull, small box with gears, keys and rod of who knows what that will be attached to him later. These are not shown in these pictures.

The base is made from plaster slabs, stereo bits, brass and styrene tube and a plastic wall section from a GW game.

Here is a good shot of his sacred brand and bruise on his forehead.

good shot of the cyber arm detail and rust on the hammer.

now the finished robe

there are two spots on the red cape that I tried to paint as worn through. See if you can spot them.

I am still working on getting better photos, sorry for the quality of these.

I will be finishing this tonight as I am headed to the "hope it don't snow" show in Rochester MN.  I will post the final pics early next week.

Thanks for looking.
