Miniart 1/16 figures - opinions?

Hi All,

I was over at the GreatModels website today, and noticed the figures above.  I thinking of doing my first figure, and I would go for something Roman or Medieval.  How would the above figures be for a first figure from one of the these two historical periods?

I've seen these built up here. You will be dealing with a regular multi-piece plastic model with legs and arms in two parts. That means a lot of careful filling and sanding, you can't pretend a seam line is a panel line on flesh and they are too straight to be veins.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
