Hi Adam, and RJ plasticmod.  I appreciate the traffic.

Adam, I am not sure why, but when I get in close and blow up the faces, I get that grainy look, no matter how thin I make the paint. You can't see it with the naked eye, though.

Any ideas on how to tone down the white pancake cheeks without overly darkening the face?

How's the skin tone?

Thanks

Bill

Hey Bill!

I just found this. What's up? Is he going to be standing in front of his Panzer or what?

Good start on him. Alot of texture on the head--where's that coming from? One thing about the sculpt of that head--I noticed, where the front of the ear meets the face-looks a little  stuck-on the way it's been sculpted---I wouldn't emphesis that line at the front of the ear hardley at all--maybe even sand it down.

Of course its late and Im a crazy old man.... my friend....talk soon huh?

I decided to do something simpler for my next build, a resin German Tanker, early war.

Got him assembled and am almost done with the skin, I really like the arms, but the highlights on the face are too stark.  I'd like to hit them with a wash to tone them down, but am afraid he's turning Native American on me, I used some red oil wash, very thin, and then I re did the highliights, now I need to fix him.  Well, here he is so far:

Comments and tips welcome.  I like the arms, the face is kind of masky looking right now.

THanks

Bill
