1/35 scale Florian Geyer Division (Dragon)
Posted by Buddho on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 2:10 AM

Here are some photos of the Dragon Florian Geyer division,  painted with Vallejo and Citadel acrylics. I used unwaxed dental floss to build up the horses' manes and tails and used thin plastric strip for straps.  The bite section is incorrect on both mouths, but I was going bonkers just trying to get the straps on.

Great viginette! You have my admiration for doing such a wonderful job on the horses. That's no easy feat.

The figure that is pointing is also done in 1/16 by Dragon. I have this and their 1/16 German Wermacht Mounted Infantry but i am way to scared to have a go at the horses. Painting uniforms and faces is hard enough, but painting a whole horse scares me to death. I know it is going to be so hard to get a realistic look. You have done justice to your 1/35 horses though, they look very nice.

  Job well done!    Toast
