Here's the photos I talked about... The figure is 1/35th kitbash from Tamiya and ICM.. Sorry about the poor quality, it was taken witha webcam, before I got a digital camera..

Lots of decal setting solution...

Personally, I use white vinegar, however...

Some time ago, I used my printer to make German camo right on the paper.  I then crumpled it, then uncrumpled, over and over until it was super soft, then wrapped the figure in it using white glue... Turned out ok, IMHO although I don't think it would work on highly articulated, tightly posed figures, it works fine on figures that are relatively straight-armed & legged...

I'll see if I can dig up some pictures of one.. My photos from that era are kinda disorganized...

Here are the photos.

Can you tell which are painted and which are decal?

Please share with me any trouble or tricks to applying the decal more easily

If it is too bright you could always try toning it down with a filter/overall wash.  This would blend everything together nicely.  I am not too sure what to do if it is too dull....I'll leave that for others to make suggestions.

1/35 Painting Uniform vs Uniform Decal

Morning All

Recently I experiemented on using decal camo sheet for 1/35 scale figure instead of painting them.

The trouble I found with decal camo sheet is that it is some times to bright or too dull. Sometime the camo pattern is too realistic that it does not give the right impression to a 1/35 model.

I will update some images of some of my more recent work.

Let me know what you think of the finish result.
