Painted Role Play Game Figures.
Posted by Air Master Modeler on Friday, April 30, 2010 3:01 PM

I was asked to post this here. My second hobby is painting role play game figures so I thought I would show these off. I painted these about 6 years ago and still paint and collect them when i am not working on a model kit,

Enjoy

Thanks! I esp like the wizard with the owl.

I've got a couple of those myself.

I think that painting figures is a nice tangent off of the model building path.  Usually there is not that much assembly, and it just seems to be rewarding in a different way.  I have a bunch of the Conte and TSSD Civil War figures stashed and will work on some of them during dry spells in a model session.  Eventually I'll have an entire army colored up.  I feel good to hear that you again feel the need....  Have fun.  Good luck in the paint booth.  Rick

Thanks guys. I have been so busy with model building that I forgot about hobby. Reaper Miniatures makes the best gaming figures and most of my collection are their brand.

Nicely painted.  I find these little guys fun to paint as well.

Rick at one time I had over 3000 of them in my collection. Everything from alchemist to wyvern's. Dragons are still my favorite gaming creatures after wizards. Unfortunately most of my collection had been stolen and I never got around to replacing them. I had a great collection of Ninja and Samurai gaming figures and those where also stolen. One day I hope I will replace all of  them when I have the financial means for it.

Oh man, that royally sucks that your collection was stolen. Sad That kind of stuff makes me so mad...

I LOVE the pictures you posted! You have done a great job painting the figures. I have been painting these figures for many years. (wont say just HOW many years lol) but I love the Dragon's as well. They are my most favorite as well.

Do you have a picture of a painted dragon you can share?

Robh,

My old collection was vast. I had a whole closet full of boxed sets and several display cases full of painted and finished figures that hung on my walls. They were all stolen at 3 separate times... 1st time while still living with parents, someone broke into my bedroom through the window and ransacked my room taking anything they thought had value. 2nd time while ex wife and I were living with her aunt. When we were about to move out ex wife's aunt went through our things and took practically every figure I had. Last time it happened an ex girlfriend pawned all figures had left to buy herself drugs and and booze. I was PO'd to say the least and had her arrested for theft, she was convicted and spent 18 months in jail. Now I am starting all over again. I do have some dragons but they are not assembled or painted. I hope to get around to doing that someday soon.
