120mm or 16/th scale weapons
Posted by Wharf Rat on Monday, June 7, 2010 2:10 PM

I'm looking for a Browning M1917 machine gun for my Verlinden 120mm SuperScale figure of a WWI BAR gunner.  I want to replace the BAR he's holding with the M1917, does anyone know if anyone makes this part and where I could find it?  Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know for sure, but one thing I will say is this ... SOMEBODY out there needs to get into the business of making 120mm or 1/16 weapons sets. ALL OF THEM ... from sling shots to .50 cal Barretts.

Sorry I can't answer your question more directly, but I'll do some searching to see what I can come up with....

I agree modelchasm, weapons sets would be great for the 120mm / 1/16 scale figures - I have the same Verlinden WWI figure and would like to replace the BAR with a more appropriate weapon - BAR guns were not that common, and a bolt action rifle would look much better.  HOW ABOUT MORE 20th CENTURY FIGURES LIKE WWI AND EARLIER!!!  WE HAVE ENOUGH WWII GERMAN FIGURES THANK YOU!!

Verlinden makes 120mm WW2 weapons sets ,German and Allied .As for the weapon you require I am not sure if its in there.Search 120 mm verlinden on ebay it will come up.I watch for it as I have a number of 120mm kits. WW1 is harder to find, Firing Line is good ,check my 120 mm WW1 Tommy wip  in this forum.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried ebay but no luck.  They have a .30 cal, an M60 and MG42 but no M1917 or M1917A1, which would work just as well for my purposes.  A search on Firing Line shows they were bought out by Bicorne in 2001.
