having no experience with white metal, I'm curious about the quality of the molding (or are white metal figures cast?).  I ask because it looks like her hand is a little 'soft' (might be camera angle).

Thanks, as far as white-metal goes, I don't like it for a LOT of reasons, one you already pointed out: it generally does not hold detail as well as resin. Another is the weight of the material, and then there is the issue ofr lead being part of the alloy, which in theory could cause it to be toxic and also to tarnish very heavily...Unfortunately, some companies seem to really be stuck on using the stuff and they offer cool subject matter which cannot be found elsewhere...

You are giving him a thumbs down because you'd prefer he did a dio?

Yes Boyyd, that's essentially what the text of my reply said.  We've seen a number of Dio's started by Manny and left incomplete while he did this......so that was my 2 cents

One word......."Dioramas"

I see why this appeals to you 'ole buddy,

but it  seems to be taking away time from your Dio work

(which I really enjoy)

so for that I gotta give it a No

sorry, my 2 cents

Anyways,

I like it, Manny.  Looking at the first couple of pics, and having no experience with white metal, I'm curious about the quality of the molding (or are white metal figures cast?).  I ask because it looks like her hand is a little 'soft' (might be camera angle).

I really admire the overall detail - her hair and armor are really well detailed with your painting.  I dig her and want to be a long-distance voyeur... don't want to get too close to that spear...

Good work, Manny.

Not enough skin Manny would say... another masterpiece for us to admire.Stick out tongue  Keep them coming...

If you don't mind telling us how you painted her hair which was similar to SS Panzer you recently posted. I have couple of figures but in 1/35 that I want to work on soon after my Turretless GB deadline. Thanks!
