As you might know, I wish through some of my models to promote an often forgotten aspect of WWII German Army, namely the extremely intense use of horses ..(the largest in the history of mankind wars)....
The model is a combination of various manufacturers, namely Airfix horse, Force of Valour cart, Prieser converted figures and plenty of scratch built stuff.
To horse (mountain poney) I added some strings from melted sprue for depicting a system for fixing the cart to the horse. Made of melted sprue are also the straps for MP40 and gas mask container, the pole of the flag, the cigarette and the nail for fixing various ger on the cart. Flag, bandages and medical arm band are form paper tissue. Riens are made of medicine metallic paper.
In the cart I put various Preiser gear as belonging to the wounded soldier.
The Prieser soldiers are heavily converted for illustrating a wounded soldier that in one hand holds a cigarette and in the other a piece of cloth for cleaning blood while the other soldier, a stratcherer, acts as the horse leader.
The kit wants to depict a cart (that type was generally used for carrying corps) turned into an ambulance, an often custom on the battle field as plenty of references attest.
Model was painted with Humbrol enamels, artistic oils and Tamya pigments.
I hope you will enjoy this tiny kit and look forward for any opinion or suggestion.
