Nicely done Chris

I would echo the previous offerings -

Tone down or blend some of the more drastic skin tone deviations.

Eyes; no need for the bright white. Also, if you look at "real" eyes you notice that the iris and pupil are somewhat covered by the upper and lower eye-lid, in a normal setting that is.

Again, Nice job!

Enjoy the ride!

That's some nice figure painting. I have always been afraid of painting figures due to the size(I am doing 1/35), so it is nice to see some inspiration.

Very nice work, but I agree with above comments on the eyes.  I never paint them white, just paint them flesh color same as the face, or maybe a bit lighter if you like, and just a black dot for the pupil.  That way you can avoid the "deer in headlights" look.

Just for the heck of it, this is the figure that I consider to be my best work:

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Nice work for your first.  Close his eyes a bit.

Outstanding especially the camo on the back!  Your first?  You will be real good after few more figures.  I agree with others... try not to use too much dark under wash like on on the back of the neck.  Another thing I would do is to tone down the whiteness of eyes.  Everything else was just great!

I'd say, for your first figure, you've done exceptionally well.

Hello,

This is my very first attempt at building and painting a figure.  The kit is  Verlinden and is the 200mm WWII German Machine Gunner.  I used plain old off the shelf paint (Model Masters, PollyS Acrylics).

So, how did I do.  Please provide feedback on any tips or suggestions you may have as I plan to build more of these dudes.

Thanks, Chris
