The set of pictures below are some real early works of mine. Starting about 1989 and ending about 2006. All three deal with soldiers during the Spanish American war of 1898.
This first group is in 1/35th scale in plastic using some tamiya modern US soldiers as the base figures. They represent the 25th infantry moving into position somewhere in Cuba.
The next figure is a Captain of artillery, in 1/24th scale made of plaster of paris.
The last figure is a 1/16th scale infantry cpl. in marching order this figure was is made of resin. I didn't use the resin in the traditional method of poring it into a mold. First I used hobby resin (not good for casting figures), but if you add Plaster of paris to the mixture it makes it easier to carve and sand. I poured a base figure, cut and glued(super glue) then built up the face and uniform.
