With any luck the replacement heads will come with the modern Canadian infantry helmets on!

Yes a plastic helmet should work over a resin head, of course the ears will need a shave and possibly the ear flaps of the helmet may need a tweak to fit over. If it was a resin helmet it would be more difficult as resin is brittle vrs. ductile.

Too bad about the head sculpts. They really can make or break a otherwise excellent figure.

Swapping head sculpts is common to the point AM companies put out 'character' or 'nationality' head sculpts as a set.

Check out Ultracast as they have a Commonwealth (Canadian) set of head sculpts. Helmets and hats are easy to remove so if the faces are suitable I personally recommend their products.

Thanks I'll give Ultracast  a shot. Since I received two seperated helmets I have enough helmets for both figures. Hopefully the helmets will fit the new heads.  Do you think that it would be possible to modify Tamyia modern American "Fritz" helmets to the Canadian helmets. I am aware there is a difference but they are sort of close. The noses of the Blackdog figures also seem to be huge. The rest of the figures are detaled very nicely.

Winters may be cold in Canada but at least there are no mosquitoes or blackflies

I just received two modern Canadian infantry figures by blackdog. While the figures are nicley detailed the heads look a bit on the thin side, like they were squished in a vice. Has anyone else bought these figures and what do you think about the heads? One of the figures has the helmet seperate from the head (fits over the head easily) I was thinking of maybe using a head from another manufacturer and fitting the helmet over it.
