SNOOPY

What is suprising is that if you want a painted piece it is like 100X more exspensive then a blank model you paint yourself.  WOW!!!!

Why on earth would that be at all surprising? You can go to Michael's and buy a canvas to paint for a couple bucks and a few oil paints for a bit more. Or you can buy an original Monet for several milion dollars. You can buy a few pounds of bronze for a couple dollars or you can pay a couple thousand for a Remington bonze sculpture.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

All I know is Andrea and Vallejo have the same bottle.  I remember when Vallejo came out they stated they where started from the same line as Andrea.  Any hoo, Andrea is a little expensive but I liked their acrylic paints for figures.  Squadron always had a nice selection of Andrea stuff.  What is suprising is that if you want a painted piece it is like 100X more exspensive then a blank model you paint yourself.  WOW!!!!  I will have to check out these sites posted for the paints.  Thanks everyone for your assistance.

I noticed Squadron phasing out of Andrea a few months ago.  Probably low sales of an expensive range in a bad economy.

Made more expensive bylisting at well above retail. And that applied to more than just the Andrea line.

They may or may not be made by the same manufacturer. Some vendors insist they are not. In any case, Andrea sets are available at Military Miniatures Warehouse. The full line should be available at Andrea Depot USA, the official distributor of Andrea in the US.

The paints can be used together, including mixing. Vallejo's major advantage is a much larger range of colors.

Is Squadron Mail Order no longer selling Andrea Paints or figures?  I was just there looking to get some paints and there was no listing for Andrea Minatures.  They had Vallejo Paints which are made by the same producers for Andrea Minatures paints just another selling name.  Where can I buy Andrea Minatures products?
