Primer help needed
Posted by jackball74 on Monday, April 25, 2011 9:14 PM

Can anyone suggest a good black brushing primer?  I can't seem to find any in my local shops.

That's an excellent recommendation. I've used Floquil's Black Figure Primer alot and it's one of my favorites. However, Jackball asked for a black 'brush' primer and I'dont believe I've heard of one other than Vallejo's acylic one. Floquil bottled primer is available in grey and can be brushed or airbrushed.

2 cents I build armor, so I use common primers from Krylon, etc.  Been using flat black to pick up the detail, but for an up-coming project I'll use red-brown primer to replicate German late-war painting schemes.  Only things I brush are detail parts.

INDY's got the best experience if you're doing figures.
