Need a missing part - Please
Posted by Big Jake on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 7:37 PM

Anybody out there have a broken or damaged "Three Fighting Men" statue  I got one off Ebay and the soldier with the M-60 is missing the lower half of the left arm.  That his arm which is resting on the back of the front soldier)  I'm willing to give a few bucks and cover shipping.  I considered trying to fill in and carve a shape but I though I'd try here first.

You can email me at

jbgroby@charter.net

Thanks

What scale is the statue? I take its a vignette of the famous Vietnam memorial?

If a popular scale someone will have a arm to give you a hand. (worst pun ever...Bang Head)

Quick heads up, if the ad did not say the part was missing, contact him.  Last time I got a kit with parts missing I got half my money paid refunded.

1/10 scale eh?

Try sculpting the hand in Milliput, shouldn't be too difficult.

So you plan on replicating the bronze? It would be cool painted as one would Nam' figures. Its a challenge but Tiger Stripe camouflage looks great on figures.

Nah that won't work been about a year since I got it off ebay.  BTW I'd donating these for fund raisers

one to Battered Womens gruop the othe rto a local town event.  Most of the time they go for a few hundred in raffel tickets.

IF push come to shove I fill in and build up the area with milli put.
